If you had trooped down to the public boat ramp at Carrum a few years ago you may have thought it looked
a little tired, but not any more...
This popular upgraded facility now offers:
4 public boat ramps
Approximately 172 parking spaces (not including overflow car park)
Combination of 90 degree and 60 degree parking
Preparation area close to ramps 1 & 2
Modified landscape bed at eastern end of site to control vehicle and boat trailer movements
Bike trails to Mordialloc, Dandenong, Frankston & the City
Patterson River is one of a few designated safe harbours, which makes this a popular facility to use.
Nested in the cool shadows of the ti-tree on the crystalline waters of the bream infested Patterson River
is Launchingway managed by Lynette & Trevor Hogan.
After a big day out on the bay why not visit one of our friendly staff to "capture the moment" of the
elusive fish you spent so much time producing and earn yourself a spot on the wall of fame.
Launchingway tackle shop is located at the entrance to the boat ramps.
Access is off McLeod Road (Melway ref: 97 E7)
A lovingly stacked tackle shop provides you with all your boating requirements including:
Fuel & BBQ gas
Bait
Rods, reels and tackle
Fishing licences
Current regulation books
Information reguarding Charters
Located close to the tackle shop is The Australian Volunteer Coast Guard who can be called on for assistance
as well as providing boat licence testing every month.
