Mates Day on the Bay

Date : Sunday 17th October 2004

Once again this year Launchingway was host to the Future Fish Foundation's Mates Day. 80 boats participated taking out 125 guests for a day of fun and fishing. All up 29 snapper were caught and a good day was had by all. Many thanks to all the people who volunteered their boats and their services for the day, and thanks to all the other boaters who may have had to wait a little longer than usual on the ramps.

Tea-Tree 2004

Date : 29th - 30th October

This fishing competition has grown to be the largest in Victoria. Last year this event attracted 1,558 anglers who fished out of both bays and produced some great catches. For more information contact the Snapper Point Angling Club. Entry forms should be available soon at the shop.

Poseidon Snapper Challenge

Date : 19th - 21st November

Entry forms are now available at the tackle shop. This competition is well worth entering with lots of great prizes ranging from

Hobsons Bay Snapper Challenge

Date : Friday 12th, Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th November

Entry forms for this competiton are now available at the tackle shop.
Prizes include a 3.9m Aluminium boat, $1000 in cash as well as many junior and lucky draw prizes

Carrum Classic

Date : 25th February - 27th February

Whether you catch a snapper, flathead, bream, mullet or whiting you are in the running for a great prize. The friendly atmosphere with people from Keysborough Angling Club makes this event one to be remembered. The Carrum Classic should not to be missed catering for boat fishing as well as river bank fishing making this a great family weekend. Juniors of all ages are welcome with six 1st prizes for men, women, juniors and midgets.
